Art… Bespoke art, much of which is inspired by influences of an earlier era, is visible in all key areas of the hotel.  Even the centre piece wood sculpture which is suspended high above in the atrium of the hotel lobby, and which has been created exclusively for the hotel by up-and-coming designer Charlie Whinney (V&A, Harvey Nichols and the Dorchester are some of his most recent high-profile clients) has been heavily been influenced by the motor-racing setting.  A sculptural and interpretive 3D map of the old Brooklands Race Track, as it appeared in the 1950's, it depicts the flowing lines and competition of motor racing in a new way – depicting the route of the cars as several strands racing each other, twisting and flowing as they jostle for position on the track.
